The new menu structure is even easier to navigate to the many areas of PBS2K6 Professional. With built in intelligence, the essentially limitless program remembers what you "Tell" it. It remembers what leagues you are on, what bowling balls are in your own personal arsenal, what Teams you are on, who your team mates are, and what equipment, supplies, and other costs you have assigned to you. It uses this information automatically in many areas of the program preventing you from entering incorrect data. Once you enter the Bowling Centers, Leagues (If any), Tournaments (If any), Bowlers, Teams (optional), and Equipment, the PBS2K6 Professional does the rest.
In addition to the Bowler Info, Bowling Center, League / Tournament, and Stats modules, we've added the new Team module, Equipment module, Score Entry module, Frame by Frame "Smart Score System", Session RECAP, Shot Analysis, Game / Series breakdown, and have enhanced the already powerful Bowler Stat Analyzer.
PBS2K6 Professional Edition new features:
Team module: Here you can enter (Once Bowlers are entered) any and all members of a team, the current team line-up, and the leagues in which this Team participates in. The program based on the League data automatically calculates Team Average, Handicap, and tracks current averages for those bowlers in each league that they are in.
Equipment and Supplies module: This program area can be used to enter all equipment you own, all supplies you've purchased, and all fees, services, and other costs related to bowling you have. It has a built-in catagorizer, expenditure calculator (By catagory and Overall) and the ability to transfer ownership to another PBS2K6 bowler that has been entered into your bowler list so you can keep an accurate account of all your costs and item inventory.
Score Entry module: The three areas of League entry, Tournament, and Practice Session entry have been consolidated into this universal screen in which any and all scores for any event type can be entered. By default the entry is set to "League" session, but you can switch it via a simple click to a "Tournament" or "Practice" session entry. For a league entry you choose the Bowlers Name, Bowling Center, and League Name and Week # (Date is automatically entered but can be modified). Optional fields include: Team Name (The program automatically knows what teams you are on), Bowling ball used, Lane Pair and Lane Condition. There are two methods available for score entry - Frame by Frame or Game Score Entry. Expanded areas of this screen are:
Frame by Frame "Smart Score System": Just like the new compu-score automatic scoring system at the bowling center, scoring errors are eliminated. The program does have built in error checking, but with the new "Smart Score System" it has error prevention. Example: Lets say you throw a 7 count on the first ball of a frame, well the program supplies a drop down list for the possible second ball. The only selections available in that drop down list (For this example) would be the following: "0","1","2", or "/". After all, have you ever heard of anyone entering a 4 count after a 7 count?
Session RECAP: Once your scores are entered using the Frame by Frame method, the program provides you with a session recap just like in the bowling alley compu-score. It provides you with # of Games Bowled, Series Total and shot analysis:Shot Analysis: Strike attempts, strikes thrown, strike (Carry) %, spare attempts, spares converted, and spare conversion % are supplied in the Shot Analysis portion of the Session RECAP.
Game / Series Breakdown (Distribution): This module analyzes all the games that you have bowled (In Active Events: You can turn on or off events to include or not include them in statistics - In the "League / Tournament" screen). It determines how many games over 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275+, series over 400, 500, 600, 700, 800+ that you have scored, thus determining what USBC or other awards you may be eligible for in an event. It calculates what percentages of your games are in each of the catagories. It also calculates your overall Game 1 thru Game 5 averages.
Bowler Stat Analyzer: This is the "Brain" of the program. Even more intelligence has been built into this area since the release of PBS2K6 standard in February, 2006. Additional features such as the ability to include Lane Condition and Event Type along with the existing variables of Bowling Center, Event Name, Lane Pair, Bowling Ball used and By Date, make this an even more powerful feature than ever! We've also added a "Shot Analysis" on this screen similar to the session RECAP version along with the ability to track highest 3, 4 or 5 game series scores.
Ofcourse the familiar features of being able to print reports, and chart your results are also available in this version of PBS2K6 Professional Edition.
